GUN VIOLENCE DOCUMENTARY makes an impact in the Impact DOCS Awards
Los Angeles, CA, January 2022 – Dawn Alexander & Academy Award nominated David
Massey, of Not All Lost Productions, have won the prestigious Award of Merit from The
Impact DOCS Awards Competition. The award was given for Dawn Alexanders dynamic
feature, Chi-Town Guns, Gun Violence & NRA, which takes a deep-dive into gun violence
across the country. Chi-Town Guns, Gun Violence & NRA, features an original song by Macy
Gray, while divulging where the guns are coming from that produce “mass shootings” in the
3rd largest city(Chicago)every weekend! The politics, politicians, former shooters, and
organizations fighting for gun control. The NRA’s history, and their support of gun violence.
God is good! Thank you to the Impact Awards. Congratulations to our entire team, this is
very meaningful moment for us as we work to make an impact regarding Gun violence. Gun
violence must stop NOW, and it is up to filmmakers such as ourselves to shine a bright and
enduring light on the violence. People, especially children are DYING!
